Description The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications from outstanding political scientists with a specialization in comparative politics for appointment as Associate Professor or Full Professor with tenure. We are interested in scholars who study any of a range of topics, including political institutions, comparative political economy, conflict and violence, and political behavior. The department is committed to building an intellectually vibrant community of exceptional faculty. Qualifications Successful candidates will have an excellent record of research and be able to contribute to undergraduate and graduate training in comparative politics. Candidates able to assist in graduate training in quantitative methods, formal theory, or other methods should indicate those competencies. This position will also support the Arts & Science Core curriculum. The appointment will begin Fall 2027. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.
