The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have a near-term need for an Acquisition Program Analyst to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA.


Responsibilities

The Acquisition Program Analyst will support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO). Will work closely with the Front Office staff and TTO Program Managers under the guidance and training of the Acquisition Lead to ensure that acquisition solicitations and source selection processes are properly completed in a timely manner for classified and unclassified government programs. Will support various types of acquisitions, including Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), Other Transactions, seedlings (small efforts), and Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer. Support Program Managers and their Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor teams in the drafting and routing of acquisition process deliverables, coordination of industry/proposer days and other key meetings, management of organizational conflict of interest screening, coordinating the scientific review process, and ensuring the sufficiency of required documentation to comply with laws, regulations, and internal office/agency guidance. Use and maintain existing internal tools, frameworks, templates, standard operating procedures, and databases for routing, tracking, status reporting, and filing. Apply on-the-fly problem solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges or unanticipated circumstances that come with research solicitations and the acquisition process.

This is a fully onsite position in Arlington, VA.


Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Citizen with interim DoW Secret clearance or higher
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of post-baccalaureate professional experience in a business, administrative, or Government-related environment
  • Strong organizational skills with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with staff, peers, and the government client
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent group projects under tight deadlines
  • Able to report to the client site in Arlington, VA five days per week based upon client needs

Desired:

  • Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Other Transaction Authority, and DoW procurement policies
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, or project coordination
  • Experience coordinating or supporting professional events involving approximately 100 people

Pay Range Information
