Overview: Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an experienced IT Support Associate / Help Desk Technician. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on technical support in a professional environment while supporting hardware, software, inventory, and technology projects. They also offer a pension!

All it takes is finding the right combination of tech hardware, software, cloud solutions, and support services. That’s what we do. We’re the IT Department’s IT Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, courteous end-user support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Document support requests and resolutions within the Help Desk ticketing system.
  • Manage IT equipment and software inventory, deployments, procurement, and invoicing.
  • Assist with technology projects, budgeting, and other IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and end users to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in a rotational evening and weekend on-call schedule for emergency support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant IT experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with hardware and software.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and network architectures.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
