Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Sales & Rental Coordinator for our Tampa, FL location. This position is responsible for providing operational, administrative, and transactional support to the Sales/Rental organization.


The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:


  • Sales/Rental Support

    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to assigned Sales/Rental representatives and Sales/Rental managers.
    • Assist with the preparation of equipment quotes, proposals, and Sales/Rental documentation.
    • Coordinate equipment availability, transfers, and inventory inquiries.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal inquiries related to customer orders and Sales/Rental transactions.
    • Support customer onboarding and account setup activities


  • Transaction Management

    • Create and process Sales/Rental orders, purchase orders, and related transaction documents.
    • Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurately maintained.
    • Coordinate with Credit, Accounting, Service, and Operations teams to facilitate transaction completion.
    • Monitor order status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
    • Assist with invoicing and documentation reconciliation activities.


  • Reporting and Data Management

    • Maintain accurate customer, equipment, and transaction records within CRM and ERP systems.
    • Support data quality and governance initiatives by ensuring timely and accurate system updates.
    • Assist with tracking manufacturer programs, incentives, and discounts.


  • Customer Service and Communication

    • Provide responsive support to customers and internal business partners.
    • Coordinate communication between departments to resolve transaction issues efficiently.
    • Ensure a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout the Sales/Rental process.
    • Escalate issues when necessary and help facilitate timely resolution.


  • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time.



Desired Skills and Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree in business administration, Sales/Rental, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in Sales/Rental support, customer service, business operations, or a related role.
  • Experience working with CRM, ERP, or other business systems preferred
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Upbeat & positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, JCB products, or similar industry
  • Good computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Language Skills - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability - Intermediate; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Epicor/SILK systems



Physical Demands/Work Environment:



  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Regularly will sit, use hands, talk/hear.



  • Vision: No special vision requirements.
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally will lift and move office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
