Org Marketing Statement

The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator organizes, catalogs and maintains critical spare parts inventory needed to optimize efficiency of service and repair for manufacturing equipment throughout the facility. Assist with development and maintaining, standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator will work with internal customers and external vendors, utilizing SAP and CMMS software to order and track parts, issue KPI analytics and proper documentation. The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator will work a 60/40 spilt of desk task and manual tasks. Manual tasks include trash management and recyclable removal, safety assist team member to maintenance tech, 5s, minor maintenance functions, etc, and other tasks deemed necessary by the Facilities Leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with Facilities leadership to ensure maintenance, service and repairs of equipment by helping the department with the proper utilization of the CMMS software.

  • Document, catalog and organize spare parts inventory utilizing CMMS software, including the addition of new equipment and ensuring obsolete equipment is properly handled in the CMMS and removed from inventory.

  • Document, catalog and maintain detailed operational instructions, procedures and documentation needed for conducting maintenance activities. Developed with Maintenance technicians.

  • Manage the organization, cataloging and maintenance of spare parts inventory utilizing CMMS including parts checkout, inventory control and reorder. Performs centralized role of Facilities parts ordering/cataloging including creating requisitions through SAP and follow throughout shipment and delivery.

  • Assist the PM scheduling effort and build database of critical and recommended OEM PMs for the entire plant operations and equipment. Support the development of detailed PMs for plant operations. Provide max and min stock levels for parts by equipment type to ensure availability and economy. Utilizes CMMS and SAP to track and report on Maintenance KPI's as required.

  • General maintenance task, being lead by a Maintenance technician to developing skills and ability to perform basic / routine maintenance.

  • Supports the overall facility safety program through excellence in maintenance by performing required safety team tasks such as two person operations, Fire watch monitoring, Arc flash monitoring, Confined space monitoring, etc.

  • Manual tasks include trash management, recyclable removal, sidewalk snow removal, 5s, etc.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, additional post-secondary education preferred. 2-4 years' experience in maintenance planning, maintenance crib attendant, inventory control, or related field.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures

  • Ability to research and analyze data effectively

  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent customer service orientation

  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

  • Strong prioritization skills

  • Decision making skills

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, computerized maintenance management database or inventory control software, and web-browsers

  • Ability to work within a team environment and adapt to changes in work requirements

Typical Mental and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate equipment and talk or hear. Additionally, the ability to use foot pedals for powered equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk along with pushing, pulling, and lifting items. Specific vision abilities required to do this job include close and distal visual acuity. Also expected is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
