Cath Lab Technologist Job Description Position Title: Cath Lab Technologist Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a fast-paced cardiovascular team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both cardiac and neuro-interventional procedures, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment. This role involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment, and delivering exceptional patient care. Unit Overview Procedure Rooms: 4 Cath Lab rooms (1 patient per room) Staffing: 22 team members consisting of Registered Nurses and Technologists Day Shift: Director, Manager, and a minimum of 3 staff members assigned per room Night Shift: Dedicated STEMI on-call team with 4 staff members Patient Ratio: 1:1 Equipment: All Client rooms Documentation Systems: Meditech and MacLab Call Requirement: Up to 15 days of call coverage during critical staffing periods Key Responsibilities Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and neurovascular procedures. Scrub and support complex cardiovascular and neuro-interventional cases. Operate Client imaging systems and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled and emergent cases. Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during procedures. Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention and radiation safety protocols. Accurately document procedures and patient information using Meditech and MacLab. Participate in STEMI call coverage and emergency procedures as required. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Must Have: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification Recent Neuro Interventional experience Experience scrubbing and assisting with complex Cath Lab procedures Preferred Qualifications Additional experience in high-volume Cath Labs Strong neurovascular and interventional cardiology background Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced procedural environment Previous travel experience preferred About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
