Essential Job Duties	The person taking this position will lead the application for permit(s) from the appropriate federal agency to perform field cage trials of spotted wing Drosophila strains in Salinas, CA. They will be responsible for preparing the site for the field trials including setting up cages and obtaining strawberry and/or blueberry plants. They will work with personnel from the Scott lab and APHIS to coordinate fly releases and regular monitoring of infested fruit and fly traps. The person will maintain accurate records and follow all requirements for containment of the insects.
