Mechanic

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to support safe, reliable operations.

Physical Job Location: Onsite in Metropolis, IL. A REAL ID is required for this position.

Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage starting at $38+/hr, depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Inspect and troubleshoot industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanical components.
• Disassemble equipment, assess wear or damage, and repair or replace components.
• Assemble, install, and align machinery according to specifications.
• Use precision measuring tools to check dimensions, clearances, and tolerances.
• Perform preventive maintenance and test repaired equipment to verify proper operation.
• Read technical drawings and manuals, document repairs, and follow safety procedures and customer site requirements.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial mechanical maintenance or repair experience.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to established guidelines.
• A REAL ID and ability to meet customer site access requirements.
