Application Window Open date: August 29, 2023 Most recent review date: Tuesday, Oct 15, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Feb 28, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals The Division of Pulmonary Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals are recruiting faculty positions at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, or In Residence faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience. Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Departments mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care. Qualifications: Clinical responsibilities include providing comprehensive care in ambulatory and inpatient settings, as well as performing bronchoscopies. Teaching responsibilities involve instructing fellows, residents, and medical students. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services and boast a state-of-the-art pulmonary function and exercise laboratory. Our Division includes the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) accredited Care Center and Therapeutic Development Center, as well as an accredited Sleep Disorders Center with an 8-bed sleep lab. Faculty members possess clinical expertise in cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, primary ciliary dyskinesia, childhood interstitial lung disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sleep disorders, and technology-dependent care. Additionally, faculty members actively participate in interdisciplinary clinical programs with colleagues from Neurology and Cardiology (neuromuscular disorders), Otolaryngology and Gastroenterology (aerodigestive disorders), Hematology/Oncology (bone marrow transplant and sickle cell), and Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension. The Division engages in CFF and NIH funded clinical research, and we offer ACGME-accredited pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine fellowship training programs.
