Japanese Bilingual IT Manager - Manufacturing

Location: Indiana

FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire

OVERVIEW:

A global manufacturing company is currently seeking a Japanese Bilingual IT Manager. Reporting to the VP of Operation, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's IT strategy, ensuring the stability and scalability of systems, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within the organization. The ideal candidate must possess strong proficiency in spoken and written Japanese, with 5 years of experience in IT leadership roles. Visa support and relocation assistance are available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:

Lead large IT projects, overseeing the design and deployment of new IT systems and services, as well as managing IT process improvements and the infrastructure of supported systems.

Actively promote operational efficiency improvements in factory settings.

Collaborate with domestic and international team to develop and execute the company's IT strategy, aligning it with business objectives and growth plans.

Provide detailed reports and explanations to company headquarters by accurately assessing the current IT situation.

Offer strategic guidance and leadership to the IT team, motivating employees to adhere to department rules, regulations, and policies.

Oversee the maintenance, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure, including multiple virtual servers, and other manufacturing/quality applications.

Assist in defining IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes through collaboration with headquarters.

Efficiently utilize external consultants, demonstrating the ability to manage tasks effectively without complete delegation.

Define business, financial, and operations requirements, along with system goals, by collaborating with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users.

Understand and document complex business processes, creating specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide overall IT direction for the company.

Perform ROI analysis for proposed IT projects and present them to senior management for approval.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Business-level proficiency in Japanese, including speaking, listening, and writing.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.

IT Experience in Manufacturing setting is required.
