Application Window Open date: February 21, 2024 Next review date: Saturday, Nov 30, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Aug 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco seeks a limited number of faculty to lead research in Health Professions Education across a range of research areas including but not limited to: professionalism and professional identity formation; faculty development; innovations in teaching and learning; assessment and program evaluation; decision-making and clinical reasoning; and anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applicants must hold a doctorate degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) in education or other relevant discipline and demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentorship at the graduate level. Experience and expertise in health professions education theory and methodology, as documented through peer-reviewed publications, curricular innovations, scientific presentations, and education funding is also required. The Department seeks applicants who are well positioned to lead a program that advances the field of health professions education, promotes collaborative scholarship across the Department and teach learners at all levels (students to faculty members) in health professions education and associated research methods. Appointments will be at the assistant, associate or full professor level (depending on qualifications) in the In-Residence series.
