Interview slots will be assigned based on your availability provided in your application*** BLOOD COLLECTION TECHNICIAN Kent/Sussex County or New Castle County Mobile Teams In 1954, the Blood Bank of Delmarva was established in the Delmarva region as a private, not for profit agency to collect, test, and distribute blood products. Today, the Blood Bank of Delmarva is a division of New York Blood Center and is among the nation's premium providers of blood products and services and an integral part of the Delmarva community's health care system. As of October 2019, the Blood Bank of Delmarva employs approximately 175 full- and part-time employees. Our employees are committed to the Blood Center's mission of providing a safe and adequate blood for patients within our community. We train individuals that are naturally welcoming and committed to carrying out our mission by providing excellent customer service to our donors. Travel, meet new people, and work in a fast-paced environment! $17.75/hr during 6-8 weeks of in-center training $18.75/hr once released to mobile team after training +$1.50/hr differential on Weekends Monthly Bonuses based on performance Career Ladder for professional growth! Full Benefits Get rewarded with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for joining our dynamic team (Paid out in 3 installments over 1st year of employment) Responsibilities The Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) located in Newark & Dover, DE, offers experienced phlebotomists and non-experienced individuals who want to join the healthcare field, the training needed to join our Mobile Blood Drive Team. The Mobile Blood Collection Technicians receive assignments working a varied schedule to different mobile blood drives weekly at differing locations. Each schedule is provided 2 weeks in advance. We train individuals that are naturally welcoming and committed to carrying out our mission by providing excellent customer service to our donors.
