This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Must be capable of diagnosing and making informed repairs and/or maintenance of, but not limited to: engines, tractors (gas & diesel), hydraulics, electronics, tools or equipment (i.e., blowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, reels, bed knives, etc.) Purpose To provide a minimum of journey-level skillset work in a variety of trades required for the maintenance, repair, and operation of University facilities and equipment. Responsible for the fabrication, installation, operation, and routine or emergency maintenance and/or repair of University equipment and facilities. Performs a minimum of journey-level work in a particular area of expertise assigned. Responsibilities
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years journey-level experience or related field experience in the Mechanical Field. Must be skilled in performing service repairs and possess demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Driving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Salary Range$48,500 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions
Emergency On Call: Required to be on the on-call rotation schedule to respond to emergencies outside of normal work hours and during holidays, carry a UT cell phone, and make emergency repairs 24/7 as needed. Required Materials
