Facilities Technician Pay Grade: 918 Location: Central Office Vacancy Announcement Nature Of The Work Safety Sensitive Position WC 9015 Brief Description The purpose of this position is to perform, coordinate and oversee all Central Office and future Environmental Building contract services as required to support the operations and maintenance of the facilities. This will include general repair and coordination of outside services required to maintain the Brazos River Authority's Central Office facilities and grounds. Manage contract services and hands-on repairs associated with plumbing, electrical, janitorial, HVAC systems, landscaping, Fire alarms, security system, and other building services. This is accomplished by ensuring that the facilities are adequately kept clean and maintained throughout the workday; performing general maintenance on the building exterior and grounds; monitoring the work of contract services for: Janitorial, lawn care, HVAC, pest control, and external maintenance contractors. performing routine building preventative maintenance and monitor the buildings HVAC system, including filter changes, and minor plumbing; and monitor the stand-by power generators. Other duties include performing routine fire alarm system checks and battery changes; ensuring light fixtures are functioning properly, maintaining adequate janitorial, office and paper supplies; preparing rooms for meetings; providing fleet vehicle maintenance; coordinating meals and/or refreshments for company meetings and events; interacting with other employees and the public; running errands and any other duties as assigned. Will be required to periodically work extended and afterhours to efficiently maintain the facilities and grounds. Job Requirements

STARTING SALARY RANGE $21.53 to $27.45 per hour. This is a non-exempt position. POSTING DATE February 27. Open until filled.
