What You Can Expect

As our Financial Reporting Advisor, you will play a crucial role in compiling and delivering International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)-based financial statements, reporting packages, and analysis to local management, ENGIE Group, and various Canadian and US partnerships. Your responsibilities will include ensuring reporting compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards, developing processes to drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, and coordinating external audits for ENGIE North America, its partnerships, and joint ventures. You will be expected to engage with business units' plant and project accounting, operations, business development, and asset optimization teams to coordinate and prepare responses for special requests. This position is Houston, TX, and will reports to the Director, Financial Reporting & Audit.




  • Compile and review financial statement reporting packages to ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP, and contractual partnership reporting requirements
  • Coordinate statutory and external partnership audits, providing working papers and draft notes disclosures
  • Resource plan to meet reporting and audit deadlines, identifying process bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities
  • Liaise with the Technical Accounting team to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and implement new pronouncements
  • Quantify financial impacts of new accounting rules for ENGIE group reporting and North American partnerships, aligning financial reports with analytical metrics for stakeholders



What You'll Bring



  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance with relevant academic qualifications and intimacy with financial statements
  • A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in external audit, audit coordination, or external financial reporting background for various stakeholders
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the energy industry, or accounting for tax equity partnerships
  • You are CPA certified or currently in progress towards certification
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Products including advanced Excel, Finance/Accounting software packages such as SAP S4 HANA and Adaptive Insight
  • You are an individual with excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of managing multiple assignments accurately and on time
  • You are deadline-driven with project management skills for cross-organizational coordination, with business intelligence reporting products and strong technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy in the Houston, TX office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Must be available to travel Internationally up to 5% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips



Compensation

Salary Range:$83,200 - $120,865 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
