Research will involve the development of viral delivery capabilities for genetic medicines. The candidate will have the opportunity to publish their research in preeminent scientific journals such as Cell, Nature, eLife, and PNAS. For research topics, please see our lab website at https://gilbertlab.ucsf.edu/ Responsibilities and technical expertise: Using techniques available in the UCSF Department of Lab Medicine, including pharmacological, protein engineering and genetic tools, the candidate will engage in research on developing viral vectors for gene therapy. The candidate will perform research in the Gilbert lab pertaining to in vivo gene delivery strategies. The candidate will be responsible for conducting experiments and analyzing data as well as preparing manuscripts for publication. The candidate will also collaborate with Gilbert lab members at the PIs request. Required Qualifications:
