Sioux City, Iowa

Full-time Benefit Package

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Responsibilities

At Sunnybrook Foot & Ankle, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with foot and ankle conditions. Collaborating with podiatrists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to the overall well-being of patients by assisting in diagnosis, treatment, and management of foot and ankle disorders.

  1. Patient Assessment:

    • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' foot and ankle conditions.
    • Document medical histories, symptoms, and other relevant information.
  2. Treatment Support:

    • Assist podiatrists during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    • Provide wound care, dressings, and post-operative care.
  3. Patient Education:

    • Educate patients on foot and ankle health, including preventive measures and lifestyle changes.
    • Instruct patients on proper care of wounds, casts, and orthopedic devices.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications
  • Current State License to Practice, RN.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
  • Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments. Prior surgical work experience, a plus!
