Job Description:

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations for oncology patients.
  • Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide ongoing care, including symptom management, medication management, and patient education.
  • Participate in the coordination of care, ensuring seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Support patients and families through the continuum of care, providing emotional support and guidance.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in oncology care.



Qualifications:




  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the District of Columbia.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family, or Adult-Gerontology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing; prior experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in oncology, including knowledge of cancer treatment protocols, symptom management, and patient education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.

Salary Range: Minimum 57.99 per hour - Maximum 89.88 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
