We are seeking a Journey-Level Power Systems Technician to provide expert maintenance, repair, and rebuild services throughout Anchorage, AK, and remote locations across the state. About the Role:

As a Journey-Level Power Systems Technician, you will:

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on diesel and gaseous generator sets and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including AVR, battery chargers, engine controls, and transfer switches.
  • Conduct load bank testing, system adjustments, and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete engine rebuilds and system upgrades to optimize power generation performance.
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work meets factory and company standards.
  • Work in a variety of field environments, often in remote locations across Alaska.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in power generation field service, specializing in diesel and gaseous generator systems.
  • Education: Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Generation Technology is preferred but not required.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, transfer switches, switchgear, and engine controls.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in generator service and repair are a plus.

  • Safety Compliance - Adherence to industry and company safety regulations.
  • Efficiency & Productivity - Completing service tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Customer Satisfaction - Providing top-tier technical support and client communication.

Additional Job Details:

  • Compensation: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour (DOE).
  • Sign on Bonus of up to $10,000, depending on experience. ($5K will be at time of hire, $5K at 6 mo.)
  • Work Area: Anchorage, AK, with 75% travel across remote locations.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends and 2-3 week remote assignments.
  • Tools & Equipment: Must own and maintain a personal tool inventory suitable for the position.
  • Travel & Licensing: Valid driver's license required; must be insurable under company policy.
