Position Summary University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment. The Prospect Research Analyst is a member of a team responsible for partnering with fundraisers to provide proactive and reactive prospect identification services throughout the fundraising cycle. Identify potential donors to target for fundraising efforts through various research methods. Obtain and analyze information on major donor prospects, trustees, foundations and/or individuals. Assess quality of donor and giving analysis to University Development and Alumni Relations officers to use for the creation of targeted fundraising and cultivation strategies. Write long-form donor prospect briefings for the development team and senior leadership. Engage in proactive prospecting and portfolio building, and provide and maintain the customer service prospect research relationship with select schools. Work on projects, in collaboration with other members of the prospect research team, for the Senior Vice President and the Office of The President as needed. Qualifications Required Education: Preferred Experience: Experience in foundation research and international research, particularly in the Asia region Familiarity with relational databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and experience with research database such as Lexis-Nexis, iWave, RelSci, and CapitalIQ are needed Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
