Job Summary
Coach an assigned group of children (grades 6th -8th) emphasizing sport skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and fun. In addition, teach young athletes the rules, regulations, strategies, equipment, fundamentals of the sport and sportsmanship. Must be available for practices during weekdays in the late afternoons/evenings and available on Saturdays between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Most Middle School Coaches are assigned by their respective school from September through June (Early Start Schools: August through May) or for the duration of a specific sports season (Fall, Winter, or Spring), but the Youth Sports Office does create a pool of free agent coaches when applicants apply online that are not assigned to a specific school. Job Requirements

Working Environment
This environment includes walking, climbing, standing for long periods of time, and possible loud noises when exposed to activities in the gym or similar environment. Staff will be required to supervise groups of children and adults as well as assist in the accommodation of children and/or adults with disabilities (within parameters of provided training). |
