Herzing University has an immediate opportunity at our Birmingham campus for Adjunct Faculty to teach students in the ASN program. There are positions available for didactic and clinical instruction. We are looking for applicants with flexible availability between morning and afternoon classes. The primary responsibility of Adjunct Faculty is to create a learning environment that is engaging, inspiring, and supports students in achieving their highest academic potential.

Requirements:



  • BSN is required to teach at the ASN level for clinical instruction
  • MSN is required to teach at the ASN level for didactic instruction (graduate degree in nursing or a related health field)
  • Active, unencumbered Alabama RN license, or a multistate registered nurse license
  • One year of nursing experience is preferred



This position requires individuals with knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the nursing field, as well as, the ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement in preparation for those career paths and employer demands. Those with motivation, integrity and enthusiasm for teaching, a willingness to embrace Herzing's mission and adapt to the needs to adult learners, will excel in this position.
