Under the direction of the Clinical Social Work Supervisor, the Lead Clinical Psychiatric Social Worker will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and development of staff as well as oversight of key department functions including patient care, supervision of clinical practice of staff, monitoring of set financial targets for staff, and the administrative duties such as hiring, retaining, and counseling of staff. This position works closely with the Clinical Social Work Supervisor and the Division Chair to meet departmental goals. Evening Shift - 4:00pm to 12:30am
Qualifications
Minimum Education Master's Degree Must meet qualification for an Advanced Clinical Psychiatric Social Worker (Required)
Minimum Work Experience 3 years Clincal setting providing therapy to children and families. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge Strong leadership and problem solving skills. Excellent clinical skills working with a variety of patients/families with psychiatric disorders. Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Licenses and Certifications Ind. Clinical Social Worker Licensed in District of Columbia. (Required)
Functional Accountabilities Clinical Responsibilities
- Performs direct patient care duties of Advanced Clinical Psychiatric Social Worker as needed
- Keeps up with evidence based forms of therapy by attendance at seminars, continuing education courses, workshops, etc
- Meets financial targets and departmental goals for access
Information Resources Management
- Works in conjunction with Clinical Social Work Supervisor in the auditing and evaluation of clinical and administrative documentation of psychiatry social work staff. Identifies areas for improvement
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Kronos and Taleo
Program Liaison
- Lead the program by being the primary point person.
- Manage program specific partnerships with various stakeholders including leadership at affiliated institutions.
- Communicate barriers, challenges and any other issues that affect progress.
Program Management/ Coordination
- Assist in the development of project scope statements, timelines, and deliverables; assign work to team members to assure timely
- completion of project and on budget.
- Implement project plans according to schedule in order to achieve desired results.
- Independently conduct comprehensive data gathering and analysis efforts.
- Coordinates and schedules appointments, meetings and conferences with other CNMC departments and external customers.
- Ensures effective operations through selection, training, and orientation of new staff.
- Provides on-going monitoring, assessment, and feedback of social work group compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provides clinical supervision to social workers in assigned group/unit based on licensure level.
- Identifies, reports and problem solves departmental issues or conflicts with patients, families, and staff in collaboration with Clinical Social Work Supervisor
