Description of primary duties and responsibilities: |
Referee
- Attends all required meetings and trainings
- May officiate and judge a variety of intramural sports, games, activities and competitions
- Officiates or judge's activities occurring either indoor or outdoor depending on activity/sport
Scorekeeper
- Keeping the scoreboard accurate
- Keeping accurate player statistics
- Working with game officials to ensure a fair contest
- Maintaining official team rosters
- Keeping time by starting and stopping the clock
Facilities Monitor
- Communicates any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor
- Make sure all equipment is Checked In and Checked out
- Make sure that all facility policies are being adhered to
- Set up, break down, and clean up equipment
Lifeguard (Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid Certification required)
- Communicates any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor
- Rescuing swimmers in distress
- Administering first aid and artificial respiration
- Teaching swimming
- Maintaining order and discipline
- Helping to keep the area clean
- Enforcing rules and regulations
- Staying alert to detect hazardous conditions
- Supervising swimming activities
- Ensuring policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed
- Warning swimmers of improper activities or danger
- Evaluating conditions for safety
- Initiating aquatics emergency action plan
- Inspecting waterfront, dock, equipment, and water
- Maintaining equipment and first aid inventory

Be enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program with Fayetteville State University. |
