Description

In this role the nurse will be trained to care for Peritoneal Dialysis patients (pediatric, adult, inpatient, outpatient). A nurse in this position is responsible for teaching patients and families how to perform peritoneal dialysis so they can complete this self-care therapy on their own. This nurse also cares for patients who require medication administration (IV infusions, IM and SQ injections) in outpatient, clinical setting. This position Provides ages specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. BLS required

Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
