Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for an Associate Vice President, Case Management and CDI. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

This role will have direct responsibility for the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Team and strategic and oversight responsibility for Hospital Case Management and Utilization Management for all Baptist Health hospitals. This position will develop and implement the strategy and operations of CDI in collaboration with system Finance. This position will collaboratively work with the Hospital Chief Medical Officers in the standardization of Case Management and Utilization Management across the system. This will include standard work, role definition and performance to developed metrics.

Essential Functions:

  • In collaboration with local leadership, develops and implements system standards and approach to Case Management and Utilization Management.
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize performance, build internal competencies and create a more rigorous approach to case management and utilization management for the organization.
  • Assures regulatory compliance; adherence to established policies, practices, efficiencies; and effectiveness of clinical Case Management, Utilization Management, and Social Work functions within the organization's hospitals.
  • Collaborates with Case Management and Utilization Management leadership and division/facility-based CFOs to develop and implement measurement tools to track and trend operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Identifies the learning and development needs of the facilities' Case Management and Utilization Management and Coding teams. Develops plan to ensure continued development.
  • Works with payers to develop collaborative relationships including appropriate metric develop and tracking of payer plan performance.
  • Develops and implements the overall strategy for the inpatient CDI operations to address quality, risk adjustment and financial needs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in healthcare related field
  • 5+ years experience in Case Management and CDI leadership within a multihospital system
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification
