Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a faculty member who specializes in pulmonary critical care or critical care medicine for our growing critical care programs at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and/or West Chester Hospital. We are seeking candidates with commitment to outstanding patient care delivery and additional complementary career interests that further support and develop our program including quality improvement, health outcomes, research (clinical or basic), and/or education. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Essential Functions

Support the Pulmonary and Critical Care Program at UC Health facilities by engaging in the following activities:



  • Contributing to hospital-based care in our Medical ICU, Medical Step Down and consult services as well as outpatient clinic. Service locations could include University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care, or West Chester Hospital.
  • Maintaining active engagement in our education and training missions.
  • Participating in quality improvement, safety, and clinical projects in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine.
  • Treating patients while accompanied by learners such as UC Medical Students and UC Medical Center (UCMC) Residents and Fellows.
  • Participating in a pro rata amount of on-call coverage.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to effective date of appointment, must have all of the following:



  • MD or DO degree
  • Completed 3-Year Internal Medicine Residency
  • Completed 3-Year Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified or Eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Current unrestricted Ohio Medical License
