Requisition ID req30725 Working Title Mi Via Waiver Consultant/Education Specialist Position Grade 11 Position Summary Candidates who reside in the Southeast Region of New Mexico are strongly encouraged to apply. The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The CDD Family and Community Partnerships Division is seeking to hire an experienced professional to provide education and support coordination to individuals receiving Medicaid Waiver services in New Mexico. The individual hired for this position will help participants navigate the Mi Via and Supports Waiver systems. In response to the growing participation in the Southeast Region of New Mexico, there is a pressing need for candidates who are residents of this area. This position will provide assistance and guidance with eligibility, certification, pre-planning, service & support plan development, and budget development as part of their assigned caseload. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
