Overview

Senior Leverage Debt Capital Markets (LDCM) professional having strong prior experience in originating, structuring, and distributing high yield and leveraged loans for both corporate and private equity. In this role, you will leverage off existing client relationships to lead the origination, structuring, marketing, and overall execution process for LDCM opportunities. You will be responsible for the risk assessment and the de-risking of underwritten financings. The role will involve interaction with several other groups throughout the Bank including leveraged finance, industry coverage, sponsors, mergers & acquisitions, credit risk management, sales & trading, and research as the team offers a full range of products to its client base.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients focused on the delivery of advice on leveraged debt capital markets issuances and opportunities

  • Structure, negotiate and execute a wide variety of financings, from acquisition financings to opportunistic and dividend transactions

  • Leverage existing buyside relationships to deliver well-executed financings with respect to price and structure

  • Create and deliver high value-added financial analysis to targeted universe of clients and prospects

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to cross-sell other products offered by the Bank

  • Provide input on the strategic direction of the group and professional development of team members

How You'll Lead

  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships; work collaboratively with other parts of the Bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the deal teams on: setting appropriate project initiatives; executing pitches to prospective clients; ensuring overall successful transactions are undertaken in an efficient manner; and developing junior members of the team to accelerate their careers

  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated

Skills You'll Need

  • Significant experience originating, structuring, and distributing leveraged debt financings

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue

  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges, and seizing opportunities as they arise

  • Positive and collaborative attitude and proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team of talented individuals to achieve outstanding results

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
