Overview

Corporate Banking (CB) is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the ground-up. As a Risk Transformation Lead, you will be supporting Corporate Bank Technology Chief Risk Officer and collaborating with senior leaders within the Bank. Your role will be a mix of program management and strategic responsibilities, and you will be responsible for managing regulatory commitments across Corporate Bank technology globally. This will require work with regulatory finding owners across the Bank to understand their remediation plans and identify impacts and dependencies on CB tech.

What You'll Do

  • Accountable for engineering and leading a function in Corporate Bank Technology

  • Deliver state of the art solutions and be a hands-on technologist

  • Maintain hygiene, risk, control, and stability at the core of every delivery

  • Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) of software components all the way to production, including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging

How You'II Lead

  • You will lead by example through the quality of your technical deliverables

  • Mentor junior engineers and providing insight

  • Collaborate, maintain clear and open communication with the team, and share experience with entire Engineering organization

Skills You'll Need

  • Extensive hands-on development experience with Java/JEE-based Enterprise Applications technologies (e.g. EJB, JMS, Kafka, Spring Boot)

  • Domain/Functional knowledge - Banking, Financial Services, Payments

  • Experience in design/development of scalable, available, resilient, and observable large scale distributed banking applications

  • Experience with open-source technologies, framework, platforms, and tools

  • Experience in web services (e.g. SOAP, REST) and in database technologies (e.g. SQL, Oracle, MongoDB), Experience with thoroughly testing software applications via unit, integration, end-to-end, and load testing and ability to discuss when and where to use each of these

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience in GCP (Google cloud platform) is desirable

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, mentorship, and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, uDeploy, Kubernetes or similar

  • Good understanding of containerization via OpenShift or Kubernetes

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $185,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
