Performs skilled and semi-skilled repairs including, but not limited to: window screen fabrication and repair, minor to major wood repairs (desk drawers, shelves, furniture repair, etc.), window blind repair/replacement, ceiling tile replacement, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, installing vinyl tile, patching carpet, replacement of cove base etc. -Assist the Assistant Director for Facilities, Associate Director for Facilities, Housekeeping Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in the ordering and delivery process for all housekeeping and maintenance supplies. -Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on housekeeping equipment, vehicle fleet, and assorted maintenance equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
The ability to follow written and verbal instructions; the ability to perform medium to perform medium to heavy physical work; the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work well with others. Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position's role
may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
