The Leominster Adult Outpatient Center provides strength-based individual and group therapy to adults, and couples age 18 and over. We offer integrated, whole person care with primary care, a wellness program, and behavioral health. The Leominster Counseling Center also offers specialized substance use disorder treatment. Our office based opioid treatment offers buprenorphine and vivitrol treatment and we have a Second Offender Alcohol Education program.

This position offers a wonderful opportunity to join an expanding team that's passionate and dedicated to providing quality integrated, therapeutic interventions within a supportive and energetic work environment.

Clinicians at LCC provide individual and group therapy, complete strength-based comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and work with clients on discharge planning. They also work in our Open Access Program for 4 hours per week, where they see walk-in clients who come for regular therapy or urgent care.

Responsibilities:

The Clinician is responsible for direct therapeutic services to adults in individual, family, couple, and group therapy in a manner which respects diversity.

  • Provides direct clinical treatment to adults as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning and assessment, individual, group, couple and family therapy.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic treatment and planning conferences.

  • Consults with doctors, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services, and case management.

  • Maintains client records and administrative records according to Center policy.

  • Attends administrative staff meetings as required.

  • Attends in-service education, clinical supervision and professional meetings as required.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Grade C12- Clinician III: Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirementsfor independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Grade C16- Clinician IV: Master's degree in a clinical course of study (social work, psychology, counseling or related field) and LICSW licensure or licensed Psychologist.

  • Ability to perform diagnostic and risk assessments using current accepted tools and practices to determine appropriate level of care.

  • Ability develop and implement treatment plans which are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care.

  • Clinical expertise specific to adults with chronic, persistent, and/or severe behavioral health conditions with an ability to engage clients effectively and work with other professionals and organizations.
