I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Provides behavioral health consultation to childcare program staff on issues related to mental health and challenging behaviors in young children.

2. Work collaboratively with childcare staff, which may include directors, educators, family childcare providers/coordinators, to promote social-emotional development in the program and to prevent suspensions and expulsions

3. Conducts client evaluations including bio-psychosocial assessment, diagnostic formulation, and initial treatment plan recommendations.

4. Meets with clients and their families to provide counseling and assist clients in attaining treatment goals.

5. Writes treatment plans including client's strengths with behaviorally based goals and objectives. Documents service delivery in accordance with department standards and progress of goals and objectives in progress notes.Refers clients to resources with and outside CHL

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

MUST be licensed or license eligible asLMHC, LCSW or LICSW.

Grade C12: Clinician III: Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Requires licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or is actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Clinical license - LMHC, LCSW or LICSW preferred.

Grade C16: Clinician IV: Master's Degree andLICSW in the State of Massachusetts. Experience in the area of practice necessary.

Minimum of two (2) years' experience in clinical setting working with children, adolescents and families with severe behavioral, social and emotional difficulties.
