Job Description

Are you an experienced Modeling & Simulations Technician with demonstrated experience in the execution of distributed Operational Training (OT), which can encompass warfighters in Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training environments? A week in the life of a Modeling & Simulations Technician includes:



  • Serve as a software application manager in accordance with DTOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Provide annual usage metrics on M&S software applications with recommendations on quantities requirement to meet operational needs
  • Assist in developing and executing test plans related to STE interoperability with connected training devices and collaborate with TSSC as required
  • Be knowledgeable in the use of DIS troubleshooting tools (e.g.: Wireshark and DIS PDU Analyzer (DPA)
  • Providing basic level M&S training to all DTOC personnel on annual basis
  • Represent DTOC and ANG DMO standards at standard working groups identified by the government

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) to four (4) years of experience. A combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • Functional knowledge of distributed simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA)
  • Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting DIS/HLA packets using Wireshark, DPA, or similar software tools
  • Expert knowledge on use of stimulation software such as NGTS, MACE, VRSG, etc
  • Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
