Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Faculty Position in Statistics Description The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Statistics to begin August 1, 2025. All areas of statistics and data science will be considered. Our new colleague will have opportunities to support the growth of a new major in statistics and data science by developing new courses and teaching existing courses at introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate levels. We welcome candidates who will contribute to inclusive excellence initiatives and engage in student and faculty research collaborations. This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a research leave prior to tenure review of either a full year at 80% salary or a semester at full salary, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. To enable a smooth transition to Holy Cross, new full-time tenure-track Assistant Professors receive start-up funding to support their research and professional development and have a one-course reduction in their first year of teaching (i.e., 2-2). All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and full benefits. Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarship and a commitment to effective undergraduate teaching in the context of a liberal arts college. A Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or data science is required by the beginning of the appointment.
