Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Perform project quality reviews of transportation engineering project deliverables including schematic design roll plots, detailed design plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and reports.
  • Quality reviews will be conducted using client or JMT checking procedures, including Bluebeam, to assure deliverables adhere to designated project criteria including constructability and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation in accordance with project's established Project Management Plan and contract requirements.
  • Perform project quality audits.
  • Assist Project managers with development and review of Project Management Plan, with specific emphasis on Quality Control.
  • Assist Director of Quality Management, Office Managers, and Quality Coordinators in establishing or improving JMT project related quality processes.


Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Mentorship of less experienced transportation designers

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of industry experience including supervisory, project management, and business development
  • Experience with transportation engineering design
  • Registered Engineer in Texas


Preferred Experience



  • Experience with hydraulic design
  • Experience with quality reviews of transportation design deliverables
  • Master's degree in Engineering


Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
