The Burlington brand of Elevate Textiles is looking for a dynamic salesperson to work as part of its sales team focused on the sales and account management of military performance fabrics. This position will identify, develop and maintain contacts with existing and potential customers to grow business opportunities and sales volume; promote new products, quote prices and delivery dates; and work with customer service and manufacturing to keep customers informed of order status.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Work with business manager on forecasting of sales and inventory needs analysis for sales region.
  • Develop sales strategies to maximize both sales and gross margin dollars for the business including the servicing of current customers, introduction of new products, and identifying potential new customers, and related time frames.
  • Make sales calls, solicit and maintain favorable contact with potential customers to develop new business with special emphasis on new customers and product placements and developing new markets.
  • Work closely with product development to share customer requirements and share customer feedback regarding current and future product needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales records. Prepare reports and market trend analysis as requested. Stay abreast of competitor activities.
  • Gain a thorough knowledge of military performance products and the markets and end uses for the fabrics. Provide creative, innovative product solutions.
  • Attend tradeshows as necessary. Stay informed of industry and market activity related to suppliers, competitors, and customers.
  • Maintain exceptional and timely customer service to customers. Be proactive in servicing accounts related to new products, order status, deliveries, and any other product inquiry.
  • May represent other Burlington product lines as opportunities present.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent successful selling experience.
  • 5+ years successful selling experience. Prefer previous sales experience with military or other government contracted products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated drive and initiative to excel; self-starter.
  • Available to travel overnight for customer visits and tradeshows.
