Role Overview (Scope of Role)

Reporting to the VP of Tax, the Director, Global Tax, manages all aspects of Company's Global Tax Operations, including compliance, provision, internal controls, and controversy; and leads global tax strategy, planning and M&A activity

This is a hybrid role based at our Wayne, PA offices. It will require coming into the office at least once per week (Wednesdays are the anchor day) or more as needed.



Responsibilities

    Coordinate and support the federal, state, local and international income tax preparation process with the tax team and external advisors.
  • Review of the relevant components of the global tax provision to ensure that they are complete, accurate, and in accordance with ASC 740
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on potential implications.
  • Identify and assess potential tax risks and exposures associated with the company's operations.
  • Monitor and maintain SOX compliance within the global tax operations.
  • Partner closely with the broader tax and finance teams to develop, implement, and maintain best in class processes to meet the Company's financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with international audit issues raised by tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, finance, treasury, legal, and external advisors to guide and execute tax facets of various business initiatives and M&A projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional business partners across finance, corporate development, legal, operations, and human resources to ensure proactive tax involvement in all relevant corporate initiatives.
  • Drive tax strategy and operations throughout the M&A lifecycle, from due diligence and transaction structuring to contract review and negotiation
  • Coordinate integration of M&A targets, including acquisition structuring.
  • Partner with the global tax accounting team to ensure proper reporting of transactions and initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate global tax initiatives (e.g., Pillar 2 global implementation).
  • Develop and execute tax strategies aimed at optimizing the company's tax position and minimizing tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Partner with the Transfer Pricing Director to Identify and implement strategies for optimizing cross-border operations, ensuring efficient planning and compliance with international tax regulations.
  • Lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support professional development opportunities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or economics; advanced tax degree preferred
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience focused on global tax operations from either public accounting firms, law firms or multinational corporations.
  • People Leadership experience within a Tax/Accounting team is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP Income Tax Accounting (ASC740), and GAAP and Non-GAAP reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of global international tax rules, transfer pricing and US tax regulations. Experience with Irish-parented group is a plus.
  • Solid understanding with tax provision software (specifically OneSource) and ERP systems. OneSource experience preferred.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax and Project experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex tax matters to senior management.
  • Strong management and leadership skills
