The IBP Demand Planning Manager will lead the demand step process within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the U.S. Fresh Business and develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting for the Demand Planning department. Manage the monthly Demand Management process for the US Fresh business unit, including developing a rolling 18-month+ aggregate and detailed Demand Plan at family and SKU levels. Accountable for improving Demand Plan accuracy and eliminating bias to optimize resource utilization across the supply chain. Responsible for creating best-in-class Demand Management processes including design, procedures, responsibilities, metrics, and the supporting organization. Manage the effort to define and execute the Demand Review portion of Integrated Business Planning enabling implementation of business strategies and achievement of the Annual Plan (budget). Proactively coordinates with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to achieve the agreed-upon Demand Plan and business goals. Negotiates solutions with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply to balance supply with demand. Responsible for the IBP Demand Plan and recommends a solution to the Demand Process Executive if the team cannot reach a consensus.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Consolidate the 12+-month rolling, aggregate family-level Demand Plans and detailed Demand Plans for the business in $ and units. These aggregate and detailed demand plans become the basis for Supply Plans and financial projections.
  • Ensuring Demand Management's timely hand-off of Demand Plan information to supply planning.
  • Reviewing and updating assumptions, underlying forecasts, and highlighting key changes during the monthly Integrated Business Planning process. This responsibility includes reviewing the current market environment against the assumptions and communicating the status of actual sales against the aggregate and detailed Demand Plans.
  • Leading the Krispy Kreme Integrated Business Planning Demand Review process in terms of its definition, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Developing aggregate and detailed Demand Plan accuracy metrics and achieving continuous improvement goals on Demand Plan accuracy and bias. This responsibility includes ensuring that root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed, reported, and resolve the accuracy issue.
  • Evaluating demand plan options with Sales and Marketing when in a Demand Execution situation, such as by modifying promotion and launch dates or by selling around the problem, to optimize profitability, service levels, and inventories.
  • Representing demand requirements in all Krispy Kreme Integrated Business Planning Reviews.
  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
  • Selecting, configuring and implementing analytics solutions
  • Lead and developing a team of data analysts
  • Leading efforts to achieve business goals on Demand Plan accuracy and bias.
  • Understand the key drivers of the U.S. Fresh business and the levers that impact business success (revenues, volumes, and margin).
  • Able to synthesize complex issues into focused and clearly articulated decisions that need to be made.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and concisely with executive management.
  • Recognized leadership capability with strong project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, technical and non-technical information to all organization levels
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using personal knowledge and relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, analyzing, and resolving functional, team, and individual performance issues in a fair, equitable, and professional manner using a thoughtful, deliberative, decision-making process.
  • Ability to analyze and integrate input from multiple functions when developing issue statements, alternatives, and recommendations and to present concise and compelling recommendations.
  • Broad functional experience or knowledge of the key processes of Product Management, Demand and/or Supply Management highly recommended.
  • Fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting records.
  • Experience implementing new business processes and driving organization change.
  • Advanced knowledge of IBP systems and processes a plus.
  • Demonstrated performance in living the values of the company.
  • Ability to appreciate and honor differing backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences and to foster genuine consensus among groups from different backgrounds and functions.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Minimum 7 -10 years' experience in CPG Demand Planning with an emphasis on supply and demand alignment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or technical, preferably in a quantitative field.
  • IBP/S&OP Experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Oracle Demand Planning & Oracle Analytics Cloud is highly desirable.
  • Experience with PowerBI and ability to build reporting capability for the IBP process
  • Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus
  • Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
  • Collaborate, listen and assimilate other viewpoints to come up with a better solution.
  • Experience with statistical forecasting software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Krispy Kreme's products and customers desirable
