Provide support and guidance to employee relations matters, fostering positive relationships between employees and management while ensuring compliance with company policy, procedures, and applicable laws. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints with neutrality, impartiality, and confidentiality in a professional and timely manner
- Use sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, solve problems, and make formal recommendations
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and employment law
- Review Integrity Helpline investigation reports submitted by internal HR business partners and follow up as needed with questions and needed changes
- Facilitate the Integrity Helpline case management system, EthicsPoint, to ensure HR case details are complete and accurate within a specific timeframe before closing report
- Assist with discipline documentation and processes to ensure timely, consistent, and appropriate intervention
- Assist with the implementation and evaluation of the equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action program plans
- Provide support with preparing and analyzing compliance reporting company wide to meet Department of Labor requirements
- Participate in the development, implementation, and communication of Human Resources policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and employment laws
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations and investigations
- Assist in developing and maintaining required reports for the Department of Labor
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Human Resources experience
- 3+ years of experience in internal investigations in a dynamic organization
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Human Resources practice in employee relations, benefits and compliance
- Working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA and Wage & Hour
- Strong work ethic with excellent time management, organizational skills, and project management skills
- Able to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and work well at all levels of the organization
- Able to be a team player at all times
- Able to build strong relationships with colleagues in diverse geographic locations and execute in a virtual environment
- Able to influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization. Able to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the most effective identification of needs and application of organization effectiveness best practices, models, and tools
- Able to establish credibility with managers and employees
- Able to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Able to take initiative; able to take a proactive approach towards improving processes and systems
- Able to exercise sound judgment, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Able and willing to travel to DFA meetings and facilities
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
