Day & Zimmermann is accepting resumes for a Site Manager role for union nuclear operations in the North Midwest US.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations and/or labor agreements at assigned site. Ensures that all work is performed in a safe and productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the customer and D&Z; serves as the principal contact to the customer for day-to-day operational issues and business development opportunities.

Effectively manages relationships with local labor officials and/or client key stakeholders. Responsible for maintaining internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development.

As the Site Manager, here's the work you'll do:



  • Responsible for the overall safety of staff and craft employees at assigned site. Accountable for implementing and evaluating the site safety plan and the Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) program.
  • Under supervision, direct, delegate, and execute work through others at site safely, within budget, and in accordance with terms of contract. Has a strong understanding of labor management.
  • Under supervision, follow the basic financial reporting structure and provides input for contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements, while maintaining and gaining respect of Customer.
  • Oversee orientation and development of onsite staff and craft employees, including employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management and employment management in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Identify and develop talent with input from supervisor; recommend changes in assignments.
  • Maintain effective labor relationships and participate in the tripartite process (as applicable).


This role is for you if you have these skills:



  • Ability to communicate effectively with Customer, site staff and craft employees.
  • Working knowledge of site operations, labor management and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to delegate, supervise, and evaluate work assigned to subordinates, specifically in a matrix organization.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to manage financial measures and recognize business development opportunities.


And if you have these qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5 Years in the nuclear power industry preferred.
  • Completion of Journeyman Program and/or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience Required, PMP Preferred


In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $96,000- $210,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
