- Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
Responsibilities
- At the direction of the Laboratory Director, supervises activities of the hospital laboratory team, assists in making decisions regarding hiring, promotions, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions in accordance with the hospital/corporate salary and personnel policies' and evaluates performance of individual employees that report directly to this position.
- Assists the Laboratory Director in developing and securing approval for, and administering the laboratory departmental budget in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assists the Laboratory Director in developing short and long-term goals and objectives for the department based on hospital specific and corporate initiatives.
- Responsible for clear communication of goals and objectives to organization stakeholders and staff as indicated by the Laboratory Director.
- Assists the Laboratory Director in maintaining records and compiles data to ensure compliance with all Division/Corporate policies, and with applicable regulatory agencies (local, state, federal, and accreditation) to meet regulations.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or Physical Science
- OR Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with >5 years of experience in the clinical laboratory and 1+ years' in a management or supervisory role
- Laboratory certification from an accredited laboratory certification program:
- CLS, MLS, MT, MLT or equivalent
- 5+ years' of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician within a clinical laboratory
- 1+ years' progressive leadership experience in the laboratory setting
