Full-time-Midshift 11a-11p; Nights 7p-7a; WEP 11a-11p; Weekend & Holiday Rotation

Eligible for $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

The 16-bed ER consists of 10 standard treatment rooms; two large trauma-specific rooms and a triage room. There are also four observations rooms designated to accommodate our behavioral health patients.

• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Current license in the state of Iowa or meets criteria established by Iowa Board of Nursing.
• Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
• Customer/patient focused.
• Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
• Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
• Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or own vehicle.
• Preferred:
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• One (1) year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency.
• ER Only:
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, and CPI preferred and required within one year of hire
• TNCC preferred and required within 2 years of hire
• ENPC preferred and required within 3 years of hire
