Requisition ID req31205 Working Title Research Engineer 2 Position Grade 14 Position Summary The Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) is seeking a full time Senior Engineering Lab Coordinator to join our diverse and dynamic team. Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of engineering laboratories. Provides guidance, technical oversight and support to faculty and staff engaged in engineering research, design, and implementation. Assists in development of laboratory setups. Provides formal lab safety instructions to students in direct support of academic programs. The CCEE Senior Lab Coordinator will provide technical and logistic support for civil engineering teaching and research laboratories. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a directly related field; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications: * Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, etc.) * Knowledge of chemical, hazardous waste, and/or environmental health standards * Knowledge of laboratory environment, requirements, and standards * Ability to read, understand, follow, and instruct on safety procedures * Ability to communicate effectively * Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty * Ability to implement standard protocols for maintenance of laboratory equipment * Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments Additional Requirements Campus Main - Albuquerque, NM Department Civil Construction & Env Engrr (456A) Employment Type Staff Staff Type Regular - Full-Time Term End Date Status Exempt Pay Monthly: $4,688.67 - $6,709.73 Benefits Eligible This is a benefits eligible position.
