The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.Microsoft's Supply Chain Engineering organization is seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer and Architect with deep expertise in PLM/PDM (Product Lifecycle Management/Product Data Management) and Master Data domains and experience building solutions in this domain. This role offers the opportunity to build the technology platforms for designing and managing the next generation Microsoft data centers, racks, servers, surface devices and gaming consoles. You will collaborate with Product Managers, multiple business lines, and engineering teams to create the vision, architecture and evangelize them. You will be designing and building innovative world-class solutions that are secure, reliable and performant that drive efficiency and excellence.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with product managers, business teams, leadership, and engineering to create product vision and architecture. Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and experimenting with cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation. Lead the design and implementation of world class PLM/PDM/Master Data platforms with high quality, security and performance on schedule. Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team. Continuously improve engineering practices and processes to ensure security, scalability, performance, experience, and compliance. Driveinitiativesacross team and organizational boundaries by creating clarity and alignment.
