The Administrative Services Center (ASC) is a deliverable of the AdminX initiative. The ASC partners with local and central units to provide efficient and consistent support for administrative operations across the Institute.
The ASC will serve as the front door for all HR inquiries and transaction initiation.

The ASC delivers the following HR services across the Institute:
Hiring (all employee types)
Foreign National Processing & International Assignments
Employee data management (workforce administration)

Job Summary

Supervise technical support services for audio visual (AV) equipment and components housed within a school or major unit to include design, installation, operation and maintenance. Components include AV control systems (classroom and studio) and fiber optics. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit AV equipment users, unit technical staff, contractors and vendors. This position typically will advise and counsel: unit AV equipment users. This position will supervise: support staff personnel.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Lead in the installation of AV equipment.

Job Duty 2 -
Oversee the servicing AV equipment to include replacement and repair.

Job Duty 3 -
Prepare purchase requests for new AV equipment and components.

Job Duty 4 -
Conduct training in use of AV equipment.

Job Duty 5 -
Maintain current knowledge of developments in AV technology.

Job Duty 6 -
Confer with Office of Information Technology regarding AV issues.

Job Duty 7 -
Develop technical specifications in support of new AV requirements of the unit.

Job Duty 8 -
Organize A/V support team, make assignments, monitor and evaluate performance.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Valid Georgia Driver's License Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations requiring following extensive safety precautions. The job typically requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, sitting or standing for long periods of time; accessing work areas from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and bucket trucks to heights necessary to inspect the operation, installation, repair, and replacement of building components and systems. Job will require accessing and working in confined space areas; may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with GT campus policies and procedures. Position may require the ability to obtain a state issued purchasing card to procure materials and account for purchases using state purchasing card guidelines.

Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires advanced knowledge in electronics and engineering support as related to audio/visual equipment and components. Advanced skills in fabrication and installation of electronic equipment; preparing and reading prints, drawings and schematics and electronics assembly and soldering techniques are required. Ability to organize and supervise technical work group is also required..
