The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is currently seeking talented candidates for an IT Manager at our Silver Springs, NV location. At NATC, our IT Manager supports a team of engineers' intent on designing, manufacturing, and testing innovative automotive mobility solutions.

Founded in 1957, the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is a privately owned, independent test, evaluation, design and engineering facility offering development and testing to customers worldwide. We have substantial international experience, which allows us to evaluate products intended for global markets knowledgeably and objectively. NATC has compiled an extensive database of worldwide operational and infrastructure conditions allowing accurate definition of user duty cycles and creation of test programs that are representative of service environments around the world. NATC is a leading innovator in translating real-world conditions into validated virtual proving ground simulation and virtual prototyping.

NATC's location in the great basin of Nevada allows our team to access terrain that can represent 85% of the world within a 150 mile radius, providing an excellent test bed for off-road mobility. NATC's operational area includes 1200 sq. miles of natural terrain, that when coupled with 6,200 acres of privately owned test courses, create an unparalleled testing area available to our engineers to innovate and solve our customer's problems.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position encompasses both a Domino Developers knowledge with Managerial of Information Technology responsibilities, position is primarily centered on designing, developing, and maintaining Lotus Notes and Domino applications. This includes but is not limited to creating agents to identify specific activities, configuring external database connectivity, and coding data exchange between different databases. The Domino Developer is also tasked with improving application functionality, such as search capability, and ensuring data accuracy before production use. Moreover, they often provide technical expertise during system migrations and upgrades. While maintaining oversight of the IT department to include workstation, servers and backbone network system and budgeting staff for future systems needs/requirements.

This is a pure technical role and not a product owner role. This candidate will interact with product/project owners to understand and develop the requirements requested.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Interact with other departments (e.g., development, support, product management, etc.) in order to manage the development of database projects and provide guidance for the activities of related databases.
  2. Responsible for the health of the company computing environment including, but not limited to; workstations, laptops, mobile devices, network structure/devices and topology.
  3. LotusScript, Java, Javascript, Formula, HTML and Xpages Coding, allowing for the ability to develop and maintain internal Web and Notes Clients application.
  4. MS SQL + DB Administration, to include the ability to maintain Host fiber network/switch interconnections and host/virtual machines (Server) in the VMWare VSphere/VCenter systems and administration of the company QSI system.
  5. Update end user requirements for business processes.
  6. Should be able to understand the contractual requirements of the company as they pertain to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), NIST requirements as applicable and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DSCA) Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  7. Thorough understanding of web-based technologies and applications.
  8. Interpret functional requirements and functional specifications as it applies to business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and practices consistent with sound Database Management Systems (DBMS) principles and existing customer standards and planning documents.
  9. Update, maintain and monitor Domino servers for proper operation and data integrity.
  10. Perform impact analysis of software changes, by applying activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis, and performance measurement techniques to develop functional specifications and logical and physical database designs.
  11. Maintain backup application (TSM)server.
  12. Evaluates and analyzes functional business requirements, workflow, and existing processes and interfaces to project long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers within the corporate structure.
  13. Plans and budgets staff and data resources to support company applications, workstation and network developments for planning preparation, load analysis, and backup and recovery of data.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Pay:

$95,000 - $100,000



Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Degree is not required for individuals with ten years of experience of which at least eight (8) years are specialized in DBMS.
  2. Extensive knowledge and recent experience with Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes (7.x and newer).
  3. Knowledge of Domino Server design, configuration and deployment.
  4. 1-2 years Xpages experience.
  5. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and actively listening to thoughts and ideas of others.
  6. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  7. Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
  8. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.
  9. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  10. Must possess a current Nevada Driver's License and clean driving record for the past three (3) years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or other closely related scientific or technical discipline with ten (10) years of experience of which at least eight (8) years must be specialized. If a candidate holds a master's degree (in the fields described above), five (5) year's experience of which at least one (1) year must be specialized.
