Job Title: IB - Debt Capital Markets - LATAM

Corporate Title: Analyst

Location: New York, NY

Overview

At an Analyst level, you will be working with a team of senior originators covering a variety of clients throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The team is divided largely by geography, but Analysts will function as generalists until they will eventually focus on specific clients according to his/her preferences and the needs of the team. You will be exposed to all aspects of the bond execution process, including origination, documentation, marketing, and distribution; daily tasks will vary depending on the phase of the current transactions, but will frequently include the creation of presentation/pitching material for potential deals, as well as summaries of economic and market developments, recent primary offerings, and secondary trading performance. Other key tasks will include analyzing comparable borrowers and assessing appropriate new issue pricing indications in consultation with Syndicate, producing spreadsheet models, roadshow presentations and due diligence reports. The role will involve interaction with a number of other groups throughout the Bank (Client Coverage, Debt Syndicate, Liability Management, and the Legal Department), as well as outside partners (jointly mandated banks, external legal advisors, and rating agencies).

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the structuring and execution of acquisition and bank loan financings
  • Analyze business models and oversee financial analysis and modelling
  • Take an active and productive role in pitches and live projects by developing an understanding of mergers & acquisitions, financing strategies, the investment grade loan market, and our clients' businesses
  • Support the preparation of detailed memoranda and presentations describing the key attributes of financing transactions
  • Participate in various marketing and recruiting activities of the Firm

Skills You'll Need

  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge
  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue
  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges, and seizing opportunities as they arise
  • Proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team of talented individuals to achieve outstanding results

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110K to $125K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
