Valve Superintendent / Project Manager

Position will be worked remotely, with ability to travel to sites and offices, as required.

Day & Zimmermann seeks a Valve Services Staff representative with in-depth valve (i.e., AOV, MOV, and Valve) knowledge and experience. Individual must possess exceptional skills in the following areas: leadership, client management, interpersonal relationships, decisiveness, time management, problem solving, and the ability to delegate. Position will be worked remotely, with ability to travel to sites and offices, as required.

The Valve Services Staff representative is responsible for the following:



  • Reviewing assigned work, scope, and schedule to develop detailed cost estimates and resource loading in support of budget finalization.
  • Overseeing and managing Valve Services personnel and working with site management to resolve contract, personnel, and union-related issues.
  • Managing outage preparation and readiness.
  • Managing personnel certification, qualifications, and training.
  • Assisting site personnel to ensure timely and efficient in-processing; accurate cost reporting and processing of timesheets and expenses reports; work status and schedule adherence.
  • Performing assigned work in a safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manner.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and other factors.

  • Talking, with capacity to express thoughts orally (e.g., accurately and quickly convey spoken instruction to workers)
  • Capacity to think, concentrate and focus over long periods of time
  • Ability to read and write complex documents in the English language
  • Capacity to reason and make sound decisions
  • Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company's office or work site
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g., extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
  • Ability to successfully complete elements required to obtain unescorted access to Client facilities/plants, if/when required (e.g., background screening, drug/alcohol screening, psychological screening, training, etc.)
