We are looking for an Apprentice Maintenance Technician to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

First Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Minimum Job Requirements


  • Physical- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely or with assistance. Capability of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing manual labor with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Working Hours- Fulltime (40+hrs/week) employment
  • Personal Traits- Excellent communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy while able to multi-task and trouble shoot.


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
  • Follow all company policies as outlined in the handbook and other company documents
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
  • Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing above.
  • Ensure ISO-9001 quality systems and safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all tools required to complete job are supplied.
  • Work with the current maintenance technicians to trouble shoot and repair equipment in the plant.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and upkeep of plant equipment and tooling.
  • Ensure departmental communication is accurate and effective.
  • Audit of work completed to ensure highest quality standards.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed
  • Maintain neat and clean work area.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Attend classes to complete the apprentice program requirements.
  • Track hours worked in various areas and ensure all apprenticeship requirements are met.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Attentive Listening: Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Communication:Oral and written with an emphasis on understanding verbal instructions, written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Information Ordering: The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set or rules(e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operators)
  • Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute basic algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric formulas used in shop mathematics.
  • Problem Sensitivity: The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • Reasoning: The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Time Management: Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about it


Education and Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent, 2-year technical school degree or 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
